3.7 Alcohol

Purpose

The Alcohol course examines the effects of alcohol on human physiology, cognitive performance, judgment, and reaction time, with particular emphasis on its impact in the aviation environment. Learners gain an understanding of how alcohol consumption can compromise flight safety, crew performance, and patient care during aeromedical missions, as well as the rationale behind strict aviation regulations and zero-tolerance policies.
