Purpose

The Diseases of the Gastroenteric System course focuses on the clinical considerations involved in the aeromedical transport of patients with gastrointestinal disorders. Learners explore how pressure changes, stress, and prolonged transport may influence gastrointestinal symptoms and complications, and acquire knowledge to ensure patient comfort, safety, and appropriate monitoring during flight.
