Purpose

The Diabetes course addresses the assessment and emergency management of patients with diabetes in prehospital and aeromedical settings. Learners gain an understanding of hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia, and diabetes-related complications, as well as the impact of stress, illness, and flight conditions on glycemic control, ensuring safe monitoring and timely intervention during transport.
