8.10 Neurological Emergencies in Trauma

Purpose

The Neurological course focuses on the recognition and initial management of neurological emergencies in trauma and general emergency care. Learners develop an understanding of altered consciousness, seizures, head injuries, and acute neurological deficits, with emphasis on early assessment, stabilization, and safe monitoring during prehospital care and aeromedical transport.
