5.19 Hemorrhagic Episode Management

Purpose

The Hemorrhagic Episode Management course focuses on the recognition and management of bleeding episodes during aeromedical transport. Learners develop an understanding of hemorrhage pathophysiology, risk factors exacerbated by flight conditions, and the critical importance of early control and continuous monitoring. Emphasis is placed on maintaining hemodynamic stability, preventing deterioration, and applying appropriate interventions to ensure patient safety throughout aeromedical evacuation.
