5.9 Haematological Disorders

Purpose

The Haematological Disorders course addresses the aeromedical transport of patients with blood-related conditions. Emphasis is placed on risks associated with hypoxia, bleeding, thrombosis, and altered coagulation during flight, enabling learners to apply appropriate monitoring and preventive measures to ensure patient stability and safety throughout aeromedical evacuation.
