1.2 Aircraft and flight crews

Purpose:The acquisition of the necessary knowledge to understand the operation and importance of Air Evacuations.

Objectives: Familiarization with the concepts, the historical background and the organization and operation of Air Evacuations around the world.

Various types of aircraft are used in medical evacuation (medevac) or air ambulance services, each chosen based on the specific needs of the mission, including the distance to be covered, the condition of the patient, and the available infrastructure.
