5.7 Otorinological diseases

Purpose

The Otorhinolaryngological Diseases course addresses the assessment and safe aeromedical transport of patients with ear, nose, and throat conditions. Emphasis is placed on the effects of pressure changes on the middle ear and sinuses, potential complications during ascent and descent, and the implementation of preventive measures to ensure patient comfort and safety during flight.
