Athanasios-Phoivos Papathanasiou is a PhD Candidate at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in the field of water resources, renewable energy systems, and sustainable environmental engineering. His academic and teaching activity focuses on hydrology, water resources management, environmental modeling, and hybrid renewable energy systems, with particular emphasis on energy storage, pumped-storage hydropower, and green hydrogen production. He actively contributes to undergraduate and postgraduate education at NTUA, supporting teaching in courses related to water resources management, advanced hydrology and simulation, hydrometeorology, and environmental systems analysis, while also co-supervising bachelor’s and master’s theses. He holds a Master’s degree in Water Resources Science and Technology (NTUA) and a degree in Applied Mathematics and Physical Sciences, combining strong analytical, modeling, and programming skills.
